Its FBQ Feedback Detection System instantly detects feedback frequencies and can also be used as an audio analyzer, making the unit a welcome addition to every touring setup.

Dedicated limiters with gain reduction meters for each channel protect the sound system from overload and distortion, and a pink noise generator provides test signals for equalizing the system to any room acoustics.

The unit also provides a dedicated mono subwoofer output with adjustable crossover frequency. Unwanted frequencies such as floor rumble and tape hiss can be removed utilizing the additional sweepable high and low cut filters for each channel.

This is the most cost effective way I’ve ever found to ring out your PA! Each behrjnger has an LED that lights up whenever that freq is feeding back, and you simply identify it and pull it down. I would rate it 5 stars but in direct sunlight the LED’s are hard to see, but other than that a great product. It has 2 channels, Low Frequency cut offs, level displays, lighted slide switches, and many things too numerous to mention.

I am completelly satisfied with the unit, and would not hesitate to buy another or recommend it to anyone, including the professional audiophile.

There is really nothing not to like. An equalizer is euipment that is cut 620 dry. Bells and whistles can only make it better, and the FBQ has them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dr. The LED display is easy to read in any environment. The bfq to monitor the basic dynamic range as well as the frequency range is an excellent tbq. Note however, that it does run fairly hot, consuming around 34 watts. Rated 5 out of 5 by Andy from Perfect room equalizer Some audiophiles prefer purism, using the minimum number of components between source and speakers for home audio listening. I find that overcoming my listening room’s negative influences does more good than any harm that could conceivably generated by an equalizer insertion.

The Behringer has no audible distortion to speak of 62000 can’t hear any but its benefits from its room correction cannot be overemphasized. Really helped my system which has relatively large speakers in a relatively small room. Very inexpensive; a real value. I just hope it lasts. I use this product to tune behrknger mix room when recording with seperate RTA software and to tune my live sound mixes and ring-out the PA, -killing feedback frequencies.

I’ve never been disappointed by Behringer’s products, especially for the price point!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Excellent for live voice monitoring Needs a power protector, it may get damaged and produce noise when power is not even Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by AVLive from Did it’s job Use this for live sound support in hotel ballrooms and convention centers.

Did what it was supposed to do. Rated 5 out of 5 by jrd-pa from Old-School Rules! Putting a graphic equalizer on a home-audio system is seen as old-fashioned and unnecessary by many these days, but this unit has to be the most bang-for-the-buck that you can get in a piece of audio gear. I have a set of older but still top-shelf pre-amp and power-amp units from Class.

Adding this relatively inexpensive EQ in-between them has made that already great gear times better and it has given me complete control over the sonic profile in my environment. Although it has some features that I probably won’t use I opted for this 3-U model for the longer-throw of the sliders, which gives more accuracy in level adjustment. Using this EQ I can dig out frequencies that my source, amp and speakers are capable of, but which I have never heard before.

The box is tall at 3-U, but surprisingly shallow and light-weight. The sliders are plastic and feel a bit on the flimsy side and although I’m sure that it will be fine at home, Fgq not sure how long they will last if tossed around in a tough professional environment. This unit uses XLR connectors exclusively, so you have to be prepared for that, but my amps are all XLR too so this wasn’t a problem for me.

It does light up like a tasteless Christmas display and if you are facing it while trying to watch a HT screen that might be distracting.

I am using mine in a dedicated music-only system though, so it doesn’t bother me too much. I am very happy with this purchase. It is simply a day-and-night difference on my high-end music system and I am only sorry that I have lived so long without one. Be the first to review this item.
