For me it’s a lovely blend of attachment parenting and RIE insofar as treating your baby with respect goes. All of her books are based on scientific research. When children display emotional, behavioral, or medical problems of any kind, parents are strongly advised to seek competent medical advice and treatment.

The most egregious example of this is the way she attributes any possible parental disagreement or deviation from her approach to trauma during the parent’s childhood, but this also shows up in her claims that certain behaviors e.
She founded the Aware Parenting Institute in to help spread this approach around the world. My own six children have been responded to as Solter advises, and as a grandmother now, I can vouch for the results!
Arthur Janov, in the middle of that century, introduced us to the importance of feelings alehta a guide to the deepest self.
